2012 American Star Ball Collegiate Divisions

May 18 – 20, 2012

Only $80 per couple includes a weekend pass for all competitive sessions including the Saturday night events and professional show, compete in up to 8 entries in single dance or multi-dance events within 2 consecutive levels up to the Pre-Champ Division. Proof of age and valid student ID required, meals and hotel not included. Scheduled to dance during the Amateur Events and Adult Pro/Am.

Collegiate Single Dance Events
*Costumes may be worn in all categories however no thongs permitted.
*Materials danced must coincide with NDCA approved step lists.

Age Division: A1 (16-29)
*Age Divisions may be merged if there are less than three entries.
*Competitors may dance two consecutive age groups.  (see rule #13)
*Collegiate events are danced during the Amateur Events
*Proof of Age and current valid student ID required

Levels:
* 2 consecutive levels up to and including the Pre-Champ Division. (see rule #14)
*Levels may be merged if there are less than 3 entries in a division.
*No Lifts permitted.

Level Descriptions:

Newcomer: Are for those who have had less than 30 Hours of lessons and have never competed at a competitive event.

Newcomer & Pre-Bronze: Are considered part of Bronze 1 and dancers may compete in all levels up to Full Bronze.

Closed Divisions: Materials danced must coincide with NDCA approved step lists.

This event is NOT included in the collegiate competitor package

Open Amateur International Latin and Standard (A Division) will be scholarship events and danced Saturday Night

Additional Rules:

Non-package holders, competing or spectating, will be required to purchase General Admission Tickets.  Dance registration fees do not include admission into the ballroom
